Happy New Year

Best wishes to all for the New Year. I hope you have fun and stay safe tonight!!! This last year did not start too well for me but it sure ended well. One of the best things to happen this year was finding my digi-scrap family at Ivy Scraps. This site has truly become my scrapping home the last few months. I am so proud to be part of our fabulous design team! I have made the most wonderful friends and it feels like I've been hanging out there forever lol!!! Hosting the monthly color challenge has been more fun than I could ever have imagined. I LOVE that our forum is full of laughter and encouragement. And our gallery always has the most wonderful and creative layouts with more comments than I've ever seen in an on-line gallery.

I have decided that for 2011, I will stay designing exclusively at Ivy Scraps. It's very tempting......wanting to apply to other stores. But I've decided to put 100% of my time and effort into helping Ivy Scraps grow and keeping it the friendly digi-scrap home that it is. I haven't been this excited about what the New Year will bring for many years. Please stay tuned for many more Fabulous Freebies and New Products. I really hope to see you in the forums and gallery at Ivy Scraps!!!

New Kit - Ridiculously Cute On Sale 35% Off

I really needed a kit to scrap my new grandson's pics with and I have another one due in March. So, I picked up my rusty, dusty crochet hook and made up a bunch of little pieces to use in this kit. I used the colors of the baby yarn as inspiration for the color palette. I absolutely love the way it came out.....just as I had imagined (maybe even better lol!!!). I am becoming really comfortable with the pen tool in photoshop and had soooooo much fun making a lot of the elements with it. My favorite element has to be the diaper cake. One of my oldest daughter's friends made her one for her baby shower and I thought it was so cool! I did my best to replicate it and am pretty pleased with how it turned out :> Or wait, I reaaalllly love the baby powder and baby oil elements, Oh and the teething ring and rattle are pretty cool too!!! Guess you can tell I'm pretty jazzed about this kit and I hope you are too!!!

How Ridiculously Cute is this baby kit?!? I know of a few new or expecting Moms and Grandmoms who will have to have this kit!

I actually pulled one of my first kits, News Flash, to re-do the papers and ended up re-doing almost all the elements as well. So I decided it's fresh new look needed a new name. I got so into the whole re-do, refresh and revamp thing......I re-did my blinkie, blog, logo and product packaging. Hope you like the new look!!

After the warm lucious fall colors last month, I was looking for a lighter, simpler palette. I was inspired by my little grandson Lucas. Last year when he was two, he insisted his Halloween be "Not Scary". I'm hoping the lighter colors and happy ghosts achieved that.
The challenge is to use only the colors in the palette for your layout or mini OR use the pale orange and green with whatever colors you desire. I love choices LOL!!!

Here is my contribution to the color challenge at theStudio. Hosted by Monika Designs, it is one of my favoritest challenges. Wasn't sure I'd have time this month but I didn't want to mess up my streak. This makes 6 months in a row of participating in this challenge. It has been such fabulous practice and I love working with Monika's color palettes. I am so glad it is finally fall and starting to cool off a little here in the desert. Bedtime For Lil Campers

These are my two youngest (for now lol!) grandkids. Lucas is two years younger than Aliyana but he is taller and bigger and they are sooooooo cute together. She's so tiny and dark and he is big and blonde. He adores her and calls her his "Ana". She loves it!!! They love that they get to sleep in the RV with Gma & Gpa while the rest are out in tents. Lucky little ones heehee!

Smores And More

These pics are from a trip to one of our favorite camping places in the Anza Borrego Desert. This is hard core dry camping where you can't see anyone around for miles and miles. We try to make it out every spring to see the gorgeous wildflowers. This was Lucas's first time eating S'mores. He had to have his cousins and Mom show him the ropes. We all had a great time. I LOVE camping!!!
